Coming from the upper Cretaceous Period which was around 68 to 66 million years ago. The Tyrannosaurus Rex was the last known member of the Tyrannosaurids to exist before the Cretaceous - Paleogene extinction. Named in 1905 by Henry Fairfield Osborn, the first evidence of the t-rex, which were teeth, were discovered in 1874 by Arthur Lakes in Golden Colorado. It was in eastern Wyoming in 1900, that the first partial skeleton was discovered by Barnum Brown.
