Velociraptor Skull

Believed to have lived in the latter part of the Cretaceous period around 75-71 million years ago, and were discovered in Mongolia. Although Jurassic Park would have us believe that these dinos were quite sizable (the movie's dinosaur seem to be most likely modelled after the Deinonychus), the reality is that they were closer in size to a Turkey. This is another example of a dinosaur with anatomy well known to paleontologists due to the discovery of over a dozen fossils.
